October 18, 2023 by admin

The hyena is considered one of the most greedy carnivores on land, able to kill large animals such as zebras, wildebeest, wild buffalo… However, hyenas rarely kill themselves. go hunting but mainly follow other predators such as lions, leopards… and steal their food.

In some cases, hyenas are reluctant to become saviors for ill-fated animals. This happens because of the cunning and reckless nature of hyenas, which makes them not able to wait until the “war” ends, but are always ready to rush in to snatch their prey.

This dramatic moment was captured in Kruger National Park, South Africa. In the clip, an impala is being squeezed by a South African python and is almost unable to struggle. It was thought that the antelope would have to die and become a hearty meal for the python, when a surprise happened.

Hearing the cry of the antelope, a hyena nearby ran over. It quietly came and snatched its prey from the python. Before the appearance of the stranger, the python immediately turned on the self-defense mode and gradually let go of the prey.

Taking advantage of this loophole, the antelope immediately jumped up from the ground and quickly escaped. Witnessing the scene of their prey running away, the two hunters were quite confused.
