Federal officials have informed Sean “Diddy” Combs that he is under an ongoing criminal investigation led by the Southern District of New York. This notification, relayed to Combs’ attorneys last week, comes as a federal grand jury is reportedly reviewing evidence related to the case .
This announcement adds to Combs’ growing legal troubles, which include a series of sexual misconduct allegations. Just months prior, in March, federal agents raided his homes in Miami and Los Angeles. Amidst these mounting issues, Combs has put his Los Angeles home on the market for an impressive $70 million .
Most recently, adult film star Adria English filed a lawsuit claiming she was groomed into sex trafficking while employed by Combs since 2004. In response to the lawsuit, Combs’ attorney reiterated that the music mogul has never engaged in sexual assault or sex trafficking, framing the allegations as unsubstantiated. “We live in a world where anyone can file a lawsuit for any reason and without any proof,” the attorney stated .
This lawsuit marks the tenth against Combs since November, when his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura accused him of a decade-long pattern of trafficking, rape, and abuse. That suit was settled quickly, but shocking video evidence emerged later, depicting Combs abusing Cassie in a hotel . Following the release of that footage, Combs publicly apologized for his actions but has since deleted the apology and all other posts from his Instagram account .
Additional lawsuits have surfaced, including one from music producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, who accused Combs of sexual assault, and another involving a Jane Doe plaintiff alleging gang rape by Combs and two associates in 2003 when she was 17 . Combs continues to deny all allegations against him.
