In their second pregnancy, a couple from the United States, Jackie Ochenkowski and her husband, were both amazed and anxious to learn that they were expecting not one, but three baby girls. The happiness was multiplied, but the concerns were not few, as a triplet pregnancy always carries many risks for both the mother and the babies.
Jackie had a successful Caesarean section, and all three baby girls were safely born at 32 weeks, each weighing close to 1.4kg. The babies were named Aubrey, Bailey, and Charlotte, and they had to spend over three months in incubators after birth.
To capture the difficult yet joyful journey, Jackie had a heartwarming photo shoot, which documented the entire process from the time the babies were in incubators to the moment Jackie held her daughters for the first time after over 100 days.
Reflecting on the challenging pregnancy and birth, Jackie shared, “We found out we were having triplets at our 8-week ultrasound. At the time, my husband Tom had just started a new business, and we were in the middle of building a new house. When the doctor told me I was naturally carrying triplets (meaning no medical intervention involved), I was extremely surprised.”
At 25 weeks, Jackie was admitted to the hospital for monitoring as there was a risk of two amniotic sacs with only one placenta. To commemorate the difficult yet joyful time, Jackie had a sweet photo shoot that captured theessence of her journey as a mother.
The couple expressed their happiness and gratitude to everyone who helped them care for their babies. Despite the initial doubts and concerns about raising three babies, Jackie and her husband proved that they could manage and take their babies anywhere they went.
The heartwarming photos of Jackie and her triplets are a source of inspiration for parents with twins and triplets, who may find comfort and motivation in the story of this loving family. This natural triplet birth is a rare occurrence in the world, and the photos of the triplets and their family capture the beauty and simplicity of happiness that comes with the care of precious little ones.
